Name it to tame it

  1. Read to the page where Daisy chews the remote. Ask: "How is Daisy feeling? How can you tell?"
  2. Show three feeling faces: worried, angry, calm. Students point to Daisy's feeling, then their own.
  3. Practice "smell the flower, blow out the candle" breathing together three times.
  4. Finish the book. Ask: "What helped Daisy calm down? What helps you?"
